Jiangsu Telecom, a wholly owned subsidiary of China Telecom, has deployed Juniper Networks's E320 Broadband Service Routers to expand network edge capacity and meet subscriber demand for IPTV, video on demand and other advanced IP services. Jiangsu Telecom hopes that the E320 routers will enable it to support more subscribers and introduce new services on its broadband network.
Juniper's E320 is reportedly designed to address the requirements of service provider multiplay services, a multitude of flexible and customisable services that go beyond basic triple play service offerings. With support for high density gigabit ethernet and ten gigabit ethernet interfaces, the routers are claimed to support the high bandwidth, large scale demands required by central office deployments and multiplay services.
