Asian Firms among Finalists for Qualcomm's Wireless Reach Funding Program |

QUALCOMM, a developer of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) and other wireless technologies, has revealed the selection of finalists for the Company's Wireless Reach BREW Application Funding Program. As part of QUALCOMM's Wireless Reach initiative, the USD1 million fund is designed to increase the availability of useful wireless applications in countries around the world.
BREW is an application development platform created by QUALCOMM for mobile phones. Accelerating wireless data and more importantly, driving the discovery and delivery of advanced data services, is integral to the future of wireless and the core idea behind the BREW solution. With a flexible array of implementation options, BREW addresses specific market needs while allowing customers to create their own differentiated solutions using underlying BREW technologies and services.
Some of the finalists selected by the company include:
