Wireless International Security has unveiled a product designed to offer monitoring of Internet usage. The product is called Ultimate Wireless PC Child Monitor, which operates by plugging one device into a standard computer jack—like the ones used, by printers and the other into a standard television jack.
Says distributor Richard Deacon, "Because the unit does not require any software installation, the typical reservations people have about implementing this type of feature on a computer is eliminated. Quite literally, within a minute or two, people can see on a television screen firsthand what the computer user is seeing. As a parent of children myself, I have an intimate understanding of the risks inherent in allowing my kids to use the Internet and how valuable this ability is for any parent."
While Deacon finds the application of the Ultimate Wireless PC Child Monitor particularly applicable to households with children, he recognises the value inherent in other uses, like in a work environment.
"Employers concerned about their employees computer usage with limited technical skills can easily move the product into the workplace to keep tabs on what is happening on the computers," adds Deacon. "Reports about Internet surfing abuses at work are commonplace".
