Verizon Business has expanded the availability of its Ethernet Private Line (EPL) service to an additional six European countries.
Using Verizon Ethernet Private Line, enterprise customers in Austria, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Poland and Spain can now benefit from high-speed, secure, easily scalable connectivity for their wide area networks (WANs). Verizon Ethernet Private Line is already available in Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States.
The provision of high-bandwidth Ethernet connectivity enables customers to benefit from reduced costs compared to other access technologies, and also enables both existing and new business applications to be easily delivered and managed across the WAN. This is particularly beneficial for multinational corporations looking to easily unify communications and facilitate collaboration as new locations are added to their global network of offices, the company said.
“This expanded availability of Ethernet Private Line extends the business benefits of Ethernet solutions to even more of our enterprise customers,” said Peter Konings, product director of international advanced data services, Verizon Business.
According to the company, higher bandwidth Ethernet connectivity for the WAN is part of the global Ethernet portfolio, which includes:
- Ethernet Access to the Verizon Private IP (MPLS Network) in 16 European countries, nine Asia-Pacific countries and across the United States
- Ethernet access to the Internet, in 19 European countries, eight countries within the Asia-Pacific region, Canada and the US
- Ethernet Private Line (EPL) in 16 European countries and 100 metro markets in the US
- Ethernet Virtual Private Line (EVPL), in 145 metro markets in the US and six Asia-Pacific countries
