Global provider of visual communication products and services, TANDBERG has opened three new offices in China to underscore its leadership in the visual communications industry while reinforcing its support for customers engaged in the fast-growing China market.
The opening ceremony was held at the Beijing office and synced up with the other two at Shanghai and Guangzhou live via TANGBERG’s high definition visual communication solutions.
Norwegian Prime Ministers His Excellency Jens Stoltenberg and Norwegian Ambassador to China Mr. Tor Christian Hildan graced the occasion.
“ … Videoconferencing solutions are playing an increasingly important role in the support of the global effort to reduce carbon emissions as a result of air travel. Norway, being a staunch supporter of environmental protection, sees video solutions as both good for business, as well as good for the environment. The opening of the new offices in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou is a significant move for TANDBERG, as this reflects the strategic importance of China for the company globally," said His Excellency Jens Stoltenberg.
“…Video was developed to be an essential productivity tool for organizations. I'm proud to say that we have over 500 major enterprise customers in China experiencing the benefits of video today, including Agricultural Bank of China, Bank of China, Baosteel Group, China Power Investment Corporation, Ministry of Water Resources, and State Development & Investment Corporation," said Fredrik Halvorsen, chief executive officer of TANDBERG.
TANDBERG entered the China market in 1999, setting up representative offices in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou over the last eight years.
The company, which has dual headquarters in New York and Norway endeavors to design, develop and market solutions that improve business process productivity and enhance work collaboration in China, linking up workers from different office locations and time zones.
