Nokia Siemens has worked with Singapore’s MobileOne (M1) to successfully increase its High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) wireless broadband services speed threefold from 3.6 Mbps to 10.8 Mbps per site
By doing so Nokia Siemens believes this will ensure high-speed connections even in high load conditions, as the number of HSPA users increases in the network thus invariably enhancing end user experience in one of the most advanced and demanding mobile communications markets globally.
HSPA enhances mobile broadband with two key technologies, High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) enabling data speeds of up to 42 Mbps in the downlink and up to 11 Mbps in the uplink future.
“This network upgrade underscores our commitment to our customers in terms of advanced technology support,” said Alex Tan, country head, Singapore, Nokia Siemens Networks.
Nokia Siemens Networks prides itself as an industry leader in WCDMA/HSPA, having deployed 97 WCDMA radio network references, and a supplier to 60 commercial HSDPA networks to date. |
