Secure Computing Unveils New 2FA Solution |

Secure Computing has unveiled a new software authenticator that allows a user to access Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Citrix, Outlook and other applications via a one-time passcode that is generated on their personal laptop PC or mobile device.
SafeWord MobilePass aims to provide convenience as well as enhanced security through two-factor authentication (2FA), establishing proof-positive identity for all users accessing trusted corporate and consumer applications. The tool also helps to increase productivity at a low total cost of ownership.
“Providing remote access for enterprise and consumer applications is becoming mission-critical,” said Benjamin Low, managing director for Southeast Asia and India, Secure Computing.
“Now our customers can leverage the devices they already carry with them to generate one-time passcodes for secure remote access.”
According to research firm IDC, a growing number of companies are reliant on mobile phones to help their workforce stay connected to their core business and with 2FA solutions, the mobile workforces has the flexibility and convenience of using the mobile device they carry with them everywhere.
SafeWord MobilePass is available on a number of key mobile platforms including BlackBerry, Palm, Windows and J2ME-enabled devices as well as Windows Desktops.
It offers simple, streamlined deployment consisting of a web-based registration and download process to install the solution.
