Telecommunications behemoth Sony Ericsson’s CEO Miles Flint confirmed his resignation yesterday after being part of the Japanese-Swedish company for some 17 years.
Flint, who has been serving as CEO since 2004, will be succeeded by Hideki Komiyama, the present chairman of the board of Sony Electronics and executive vice president of electronics marketing and sales strategies at Sony.
Komiyama will take over the new position on November 1 and Flint will reportedly serve as an executive advisor to Komiyama till the end of 2007.

According to Sony Ericsson it was Flint’s decision to leave as he wanted to undertake new personal and business opportunities. |
