i-mobile Strengthens Existence in Indonesia

 

 

Thailand-based global mobile phone provider, i-mobile strategically looking forward to expand business in Indonesia. They announced four new mobile phones under its theme in Indonesia the FIVE SENSES. The four models are i-mobile 318, i-mobile 518, i-mobile 520, and i-mobile 613.

Managing Director PT Samart i-mobile Indonesia, Thawee Udomkitchote, is certain that these new FUN and SMART phones will be accepted well in the market.

"Being number one ASEAN mobile phone provider, we are committed to expand our business in Indonesia," said Udomkitchote.

Last year the company sold more than three million units of mobile phones in eight countries. Udomkitchote adds, Indonesia with 215-million population is positively a huge market to cultivate and is an important market for them.

According to Sanit Sopitgirapast, Head of Marketing, PT. Samart i-mobile Indonesia, different market has different need. "i-mobile provides each market with features it needs and not features it may need, and they are supported by a nationwide after-sales service," said Sopitgirapast.

i-mobile has been in Indonesia since 2006 and started its existence through strategic partnership with a local incumbent operator. Since then the company has been growing fast and within two years operation, it has existed in four big islands in Indonesia, such as Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, and Sulawesi. The company will support its expansion with stronger portfolio, internal team, partnerships, and after-sales services.

i-mobile was established in Thailand in 2002 and within two years after its inception it went to overseas market. Currently the company is the second largest mobile multimedia provider in Thailand and is existent in eight Asian markets (Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, India, Laos, Cambodia, and Bangladesh).
