Sun Appoints new Asia South President |

Sun Microsystems has appointed Gan Boon San as president of its Asia South Geographically Established Market (GEM).
In this role, Boon San will be responsible for strategizing and ensuring a consistent, integrated and responsive customer experience to deliver growth and profitability across Asia South.
Boon San was previously the chief of operations (COO) of Sun Asia South where he supported the Asia South president in strategies and execution plans across Asia South to drive and grow the business regionally. He succeeds Lionel Lim, who has been promoted to the role of senior vice president, Asia Pacific region (APAC).
"Throughout his career in Sun, Boon San has displayed a tremendous track record of executing against Asia South’s key strategic initiatives and delivering superior business results," said Lionel Lim, senior vice president, APAC, Sun Microsystems.
"Boon San's strong sales track-record, customer service experience and business acumen is second to none. I am confident he will continue to do the same in his new role as we continue to execute on our plan for sustained growth and profitability." |
