Juniper Networks Inc. has announced that Optus, an Australian telecom provider, is deploying its Networks M-series routing platforms to converge its business and residential services on a single, multiservice IP network.
Juniper said the network being deployed by Siemens Australia, will enable Optus to deliver a wide range of secure and reliable services to its business and residential customers, including voice, video, data and VPN service offerings.
The Juniper Networks M320 multiservice routing platform will enable the common packet core to securely and reliably transport traffic from Optus' different customer units.
The M-series' service flexibility and comprehensive feature set enables Optus to deploy multiple M320s configured to provide both core and edge routing functions on a single system.
