Telkomsel, Indonesia's provider of mobile cellular services, has deployed McAfee’s IntruShield network intrusion prevention systems to protect its critical applications and data against security threats such as application-specific attacks, Denial of Service (DoS) threats, powerful worms, malware, and malicious intrusions into the corporate network.
Telkomsel deployed 11 IntruShield sensors in-line in its network, complementing the use of clustered firewalls while protecting strategic locations in its data center. McAfee IntruShield appliances, including IntruShield 2600, IntruShield 3000, and IntruShield 4000 deliver proactive and comprehensive real-time protection to Telkomsel.
These purpose-built platforms protect endpoints and Telkomsel's mission-critical network from known and unknown zero-day attacks, DoS attacks, and threats like spyware, Voice-over-IP (VoIP) vulnerabilities, botnets, malware, network worms and peer-to-peer applications.
