Altiris Unveils End Point Security Solution

Provider of service-oriented services Altiris has announced Altiris Endpoint Security Solution software which is focused on securing endpoint security for users on the move.

Altiris is engaged in a strategic relationship with Senforce Technologies to provide Endpoint Security Solution with the Altiris service-oriented management architecture. Senforce has integrated its location-aware endpoint security capabilities to be natively manageable from the Altiris console.

Endpoint Security Solution automates the enforcement of security policies that adjust to unique user environments, shields PCs from malware and hackers, and maintains and supports established security policies and technologies. Endpoint Security Solution delivers extended protection to the PC that is not available from typical VPN, antivirus, anti-spyware, and patch management products.

Endpoint Security Solution offers control of network connectivity, wireless communications and removable storage devices. The solution also delivers improved application integrity and a personal firewall while helping to protect against:

• data theft and loss
• insecure wireless usage
• malicious code and harmful applications executing on a system
• unauthorized port scans, denial-of-service and other protocol-based attacks
